Judy Fairburn

Executive Vice President, Environment & Strategic Planning, Cenovus Energy Inc., Canada

As Executive Vice-President, Environment & Strategic Planning, Judy is responsible for leading development of Cenovus's strategic business plan including integration of the company's environmental strategy. She also leads operations excellence governance, portfolio management, reserves governance and environmental technology funding.

Prior to her current role, Judy was Vice-President Environment & Corporate Responsibility, Vice-President Downstream Operations, Vice-President Weyburn and Vice-President Portfolio Management for Cenovus's predecessor company. She also worked with the Canadian government as a visiting executive in 2003 and 2004.

Previously, Judy's career saw a progression of positions in engineering, technology, operations and business within the upstream, oil sands and refining sectors at Shell Canada Limited and Syncrude Canada Ltd.

A professional engineer, Judy holds a Masters of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Calgary and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
