Head of Sustainability EMEA, Lend Lease, UK
Pascal joined Lend Lease in October 2010 as Head of
Sustainability for EMEA. In this role, he is responsible for
the region's overall sustainability strategy and implementation
across the major business areas, including retail assets,
development projects, and construction activities. Building
on Lend Lease's strong environmental and community track record,
Pascal and his team help ensure that energy, carbon, waste, and
water strategies are maximized, that buildings and infrastructure
are developed to the latest, highest sustainability performance
standards, and that Lend Lease continues driving innovative
community programs.
Lend Lease is at the heart of some of the biggest urban
regeneration projects in Europe, including the Olympic Athletes
Village and Elephant & Castle in London. Along with other
projects, these developments offer unique opportunities to drive
the triple bottom line approach, maximizing outcomes for people,
planet, and profit.
Pascal is originally from Germany, studied Economics and History
and, over the past 20 years, has lived and worked in France, Japan,
Australia, US, Canada, and Italy. From 2002-2007 he was

of Roche in Milan, Italy. In both sites he implemented many
business sustainability programs including new LEED certified
office buildings, innovative logistics models, reduction and
recycling programs, and clean energy
solutions. Roche built a 10,000m3 PV installation to cover
its Milan office car park - the largest in Italy.
Pascal had a BS in Economics and BA in History from the
University of Pennsylvania and an MSc. in Climate Change and
Sustainable Development from DeMontfort University.
