President, BASF Canada
Since graduating from the IHEDREA (Institut des Hautes Etudes de
Droit Rural et d'Economie Agricole) in Paris, France, in 1985,
Laurent has been working in the chemical industry.
He joined BASF in 1991, where he has held various positions in
Sales, Marketing, Business Management and General Management.
During this time, Laurent has had the opportunity to collaborate
with a broad range of industries, including automotive, appliance,
construction and agriculture, in several different countries in
Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
On March 1, 2009, Laurent was appointed President of BASF
Canada, where he coordinates all BASF activities and 12 different
business divisions, operating across the country. As a member of
BASF's North American leadership team, Laurent plays an active role
in maintaining the company's commitment to sustainability and
promoting its importance as a strategic pillar for success.
